11th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
“STANDARDIZATION, PROTYPES AND QUALITY:
A MEANS OF BALKAN COUNTRIES’ COLLABORATION”
Cooperation among standardization organizations
and the scientific and the academic community
9-11 September 2014,
the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade
Roles of standards in the development of global knowledge economy and in the transfer of new technologies are significant. While the developed countries have long been leaders in international standardisation, transitional and developing countries remain largely passive and reap far less benefits than they could. Unfortunately, the activities of scientific and academic community in this area are still inadequate. Question: „How can cooperation among standardisation organisation, scientific and academic community contribute to achieving technology catch up in transitional and developing countries?” – still need to be answered.
All these years, since the first conference in Thessaloniki in 1997, the conferences “STANDARDIZATION, PROTYPES AND QUALITY: A MEANS OF BALKAN COUNTRIES’ COLLABORATION”, have been good opportunity for scientists and specialists from Balkan Countries, as well as from all over the world, to exchange experience and knowledge of standardization, quality management and related disciplines (see more at http://bcc-central.org/). The scope of the 11th International conference “Standardization, protypes and quality: a means of Balkan countries’ collaboration” is to contribute to the Balkan Countries’ development by calling attention to cooperation among standardization organisations and the scientific and the academic community.
The 11th International Conferences of the Balkan Countries, will be held as back to back event, with 19th EURAS Annual Standardization Conference (8-10 September, www.euras.org).
